Matt LeGrand - All Good (Official Video)

Matt LeGrand - All Good (Official Video)

Matt LeGrand - All Good (Official Video)

Matt LeGrand was born in France, but moved to Chicago with his family at the age of seven. The Windy City lent him musical inspiration, and he soon found himself learning to play guitar and drums. Not long after, he started writing songs, and experimenting with different bands and duos in college that inspired him to find a sound all his own. His style takes hints from Nick Jonas and Justin Bieber but the end result is entirely unabashed Matt LeGrand: booming beats, unforgettable melodies, and energy that radiates from the inside out. It’s a sound that Matt LeGrand’s fans- who’ve dubbed themselves The LeGrand Girls- absolutely love.

Two years after the release of his debut single “Spring Break Girl”, Matt LeGrand is back with a new video for “All Good.” The song was written by a team in Atlanta and Matt tells The New Nine that when he heard it, “I like to think that the song found me. It came to me at a time in my life where everything it was saying just made so much sense to me…. The song’s about being OK with yourself.” He told Vents Magazine that he aimed to explore a Caribbean feel to the song, like “when Drake does is island vibe records.” This new musical aesthetic took him out of his comfort zone but ultimately, that just might be what sees him reach new levels of success.

The “All Good” music videos portrays the Caribbean, beach-y theme of the song itself. The clip was filmed in Miami and was all shot in one day. Matt and his “girlfriend” breakup, but he’s seen working on himself and his own happiness, dancing on the beach as he says, “Since you walked up out my life, I’m all good.” It’s the perfect summer soundtrack to remind any listener that self-love and taking care of yourself are the most important things in life…..”tend your own garden” so to speak!

NARCOS

Released on Netflix Sept 1st, I was all over this one. The long-awaited part III is here! I believe it only took me a weekend binged this entire season.. That's just how fye Narcos is! The Columbian epic that plays like living history, began following the true story of Pablo Escobar. Now, it continues with Pablo's successors, equally rich and infamous, The Cali Cartel.

DOPE.. literally.

HALT & CATCH FIRE

Catch up on "Halt & Catch Fire" in its 4th and final season. Set in the 80's and 90s at the beginning of the personal computer boom follow 4 visionaries who fight through the competition to innovate technology, video games, and what will become what we now know as the internet.

GOMORRAH

Never has a mini-series been so detailed and action-packed as Gomorra. In the same vein as Narcos, Gomorrah is based from the true story set in Naples, Italy. If you can stomach the subtitles, then you are in for the bloodiest, most devious, biggest adrenaline rush on tv! After fall of Don Savastano other dons form a commission to control and share the Naples drug market. There is an ongoing power struggle over huge housing complex dealing spots, where the Dons send their armies to kill each other. The treachery is at at times overwhelming and amazing. It's like visiting another world!

SNOWFALL

Set in the 80's "Snowfall" follows teenager, Franklin, who begins selling weed for his uncle. At 1st his aim is just to help his mom out with the bills, that is until his chance encounter with a druglord who fronts him a kilo. After an interesting trip of selling weight, getting rob, and committing murder, he then discovers a way to make some real money. This is the story of how crack cocaine began. It also uncovers how the CIA contributed to the rise of cocaine in America.

INSECURE

Funny, silly, and at times flat-out hilarious. "Insecure" is a corky look at the life a modern African American woman's life. It is written by and stars, Issa Rae as herself. Follow her and friends as they dissolve relationships, messup at work, and have sex with randomns! The perspective from which the story is told, shit is funny yo!

Demiah awakens spiritual hiphop with new video “Jesus Piece”

Demiah awakens spiritual hiphop with new video “Jesus Piece”

Demiah awakens spiritual hiphop with new video “Jesus Piece”

Demiah and his music production company, Wells Light, has started a revolution with his latest video, “Jesus Piece”. A brief overview could be described as an inspirational conscious rap over a dope trap production, but it is so much more. The Pimp C skit used on the song's bridge puts the finishing touch on an epic song that points out the hipocrisy in hiphop and rappers who rock the jesus piece charm but dont live a Godly lifestyle.

On “Jesus Piece” Demiah laces his verses with the type of knowledge, substance, and honesty that is direly needed in today's hiphop. He does so with the ferocity that will have you bobbing your head and cheering him on. Demiah drops a cargo plane full of gems over the hood to alert the community of the damage our culture is doing to itself. Demiah says, "I'm pursuing music not only to fulfill my own dreams, but to also use it as a way to provoke change in urban communities".

Are you a real believer in the art of Hiphop? Skills? Street music? Well eastcoast king, Louie Racks, is here to rescue your eardrums away from the lack of content and supreme wackness of today's rap music. Student of the g-code, Louie, properly pistol whips all haters, fuckboys, and snitches across the face with his new banger amptly titled, “Snitchin”. Get captured by the sinister keyboard and hard hitting bass that rolls in like thunder as the track breathes with a repetitive hit-hat snare drum.

I dont know where you're from, but in my hood this is a no-no. On “Snitchin” Louie Racks speaks with the bravado of a boss as he brings to light that niggas nowadays are light in the skinny jeans. He also instructs what is to be done when you catch 1 of these traitorous bastards.

Music Video: DeCarlo - Lit Right Now

Music Video: DeCarlo - Lit Right Now

Music Video: DeCarlo - Lit Right Now

DeCarlo released his track "Lit Right Now" last year to much acclaim from press. Your EDM said the singer has "the absolute sexiest new voice I've heard in awhile while KRS absolutely kills the production with a smooth downtempo melody with pinches of subtle electric guitar strings." EARMILK says "it's rare to come across something pure" and praises the track's nod to "early 2000's R&B" and his "light poppy vibe." The song ends with a guitar solo that Beautiful Buzzz calls "the icing on this LIT cake."

But the message of "Lit Right Now" is that sometimes it's not only about being lit, as DeCarlo sings about wanting that close emotional connection with his special someone. The "Lit Right Now" video was directed by €¥£$, and co-stars Epic Records recording artist Diany Arias. DeCarlo and Arias are in a club and the lights are flashing, people are dancing, but he's not focused on any of that, instead saying "You the only one I need" as his eyes are locked on her. The juxtaposition of the fast-paced club and the slow, smooth vibe of DeCarlo and the song create a unique viewing experience that strikes all the right feelings.
